This is a painting of me, with my favorite blue cap.

I was just four years old here, and while Mom worked and my brother and sister were in school, Dad took care of me during days.

On this day, Dad sat me down and painted this beautiful watercolor.

Dad loved painting and drawing portraits, but he didn't have a formal art studio in our small uptown apartment. When he painted at home, it was in the living room or wherever, and sometimes we were his models. I don't remember much from back then, but one thing I recall is that when we sat for Dad, he put us in front of the old black and white RCA console television in the living room, tuned in to cartoons. -- we sat there like statues in the same position for about two hours as he worked.

They Took My Blue Cap!
This was my favorite Blue Cap; I wore it everywhere and always. While visiting the Museum of Natural History in New York City, one day, I lost my cap in one of the giant dinosaur rooms. It just disappeared! I was crying in distress - Where is my cap? Where is my cap? Where did it go? We looked high and low, but couldn't find it, so the story ended as The Dinosaurs Took My Blue Cap.

My sobs and weeps of that day turned into these golden memories that are forever. ❤️

If you visit the Museum of Natural History and see a dinosaur with a Blue Cap by chance, please get in touch with me immediately, because I have been searching for it for a very long time.
❤️
