Dad brings the scene to life!
Dad roamed New York City with a discerning eye, always seeking the perfect moment to immortalize in his art. His journey often included the free Staten Island Ferry, where he found inspiration for this colorful piece.
In 1962, Dad was a 40-year-old immigrant from Hungary, having arrived in America just six years earlier after fleeing his homeland in 1956. New York City was still new and full of wonders for him. This timeless piece, featuring the Staten Island Ferry and the diligent workers, reflects his deep connection and growing love for his new home.
Dad brings back golden memories of Staten Island Shore. ❤️
