Description
Six roses in a humble vase.
It's incredible to me how Dad could find beauty in the simplest of things. For him, it wasn't always about grand landscapes or complex compositions - just a few ordinary flowers could spark his creativity. And yet, in his skilled hands, these six red roses become so much more.
The way he captures their delicate yet bold posture, nestled between baby's-breadth, the subtle dance of straight form, it's as if you can smell their sweet fragrance wafting about.
I've seen him work his magic on countless subjects, but there's something special about the way he brings a flower bouquet to life.
In this, an all of his art, it's clear that he really saw beauty in every corner of the world.
On this day in 1993, Dad felt the simple wonder of Six Roses. ❤️
