JTAR

Julius (J.) Tar, the youngest son of Laszlo Tar, is the creator and curator of this site, as well as TARART.com and the founder of TIS Publishing.

Having partnered with his father for many years, Julius, at around 34, applied his technical expertise to bring the art online to the immediate positive response of an early Internet audience. He enhanced access to his father's art by establishing a publishing business that created limited-edition prints and other specialty products featuring the art imagery. And along the way, through mastering flat art photography and close examinations of his father's massive creative collection, Julius developed a deep understanding and appreciation for who his father was as an artist and how his personality was connected with his creations.

During their extensive travels and their unique, close-knit relationship, his father's creative insights and wisdom deeply inspired Julius, and he gained a profound appreciation of aesthetics through the eyes of an artist, which significantly affected his life views and values.

J. Tar's background is multifaceted and includes formal training and broad application of computer technology, photography, image science, fine art, and music.

While J. Tar is not a visual artist, his music retells stories that are said to align stylistically with his father's fine art. His original electronic-pop music reflects life experiences, some with his father. The music is available on streaming services, such as Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, and Apple Music, under the musician title JTAR.
