Description
As I reflect on my father's remarkable artistic journey, I am reminded of the profound impact his European classical education had on his work.
He was deeply influenced by the masters who came before him - the likes of Picasso, Degas, Goya, and da Vinci, as well as those from the Renaissance period. Like many classical artists, my father saw the nude form as an essential part of his creative expression. He was fascinated by the human anatomy and the emotional depth it conveyed. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to mastering the depiction of the human figure, and his numerous drawings are a testament to his dedication.
This particular piece, a stunning work of a nude model, showcases my Dad's passion for the human form. It is part of his limited Hungarian collection, which he managed to bring with him when he escaped Communist Hungary in 1956.
What's remarkable is that he created this piece at the tender age of 26, a testament to his early talent and artistic maturity.
As I look at this work, I am filled with pride and admiration for my father's skill and artistry.
On this day way, way back in 1948, Dad immortalized the beauty of a woman, with Judica. ❤️
