Dad traveled to Venice, Italy twice - once in 1977 (alone) and again in 1995, with me. This piece was created during his solo trip in 1977. On that multi-month trip, he visited Italy, England, Amsterdam, and France. An amazing creative journey!
Venice is the perfect location for a painter. There are so many beautiful things within a very concentrated area, and the best thing is almost everything can be reached by foot - or by a short boat trip.
The Rialto Bridge is one of the beautiful wonders of man's creations in Venice. It features shops on the actual bridge! Pretty incredible.
On this day, Dad captured the full dynamics and beauty of this very special place. The lovely pastel-colored buildings, gondolas en route, and people standing on the bridge and sitting at the foot. It's pure Amore! ❤️
