As I gaze upon this captivating watercolor, I'm instantly transported back to the many days I spent with my Dad, watching him paint. I remember this very moment, and the time we went to historic Roslyn Park, Long Island, in New York, where my father's artistic genius brought the scene to life.

The old Presbyterian church, nestled among the kaleidoscope of autumn hues - fiery reds, radiant yellows, and deep oranges - seems to leap off the paper.

His masterful brushstrokes always infused the moment with an energy that still resonates deeply within me.

I have a bundle of memories of our excursions to Roslyn Park and the north shore of Long Island, when Dad would set up his easel and, in just a matter of hours, create something beautiful. It was a marvel to behold, and I always wondered where his energy came from.

Then, after a morning of exploration and painting, we'd return home to the warm, comforting aroma of Mom's cooking. She always made something special - and her culinary creations were another marvel that I long for every day.

After lunch, our afternoons were filled with the joy of reviewing Dad's latest creations. These were moments surrounded by love and warmth - treasures etched in my mind like the delicate strokes of Dad's color-filled brushes.

On this day in 1989, Dad found his spot and Our Church.❤️
