This piece captures a vibrant fall day in historic Roslyn Park, also known as Gerry Park, in Roslyn, Long Island, New York.
The scene is alive with the rich hues of autumn, as colorful trees line the serene pond, their reflections creating a tapestry of colors on the water’s surface. Nestled between the trees are charming old buildings, standing as silent witnesses to the season's splendor. Figures stroll leisurely around the pond, adding a touch of life and movement to the tranquil setting, while geese gather in the foreground, enhancing the scene's pastoral beauty.
Dad cherished painting in Roslyn Park and across the north shore of Long Island. These excursions, made together, were a cherished ritual; we'd leave our New York City home early in the morning, eager to explore and find the perfect spots for Dad to create something special. His love for these locations and his ability to translate their essence into art made these outings truly special.

On this day in 1989, we found this romantic spot of the Pond View.❤️
