Description

Mom and Dad grew up in a small village in northeast Hungary. Mom became a schoolteacher and Dad a formally trained artist. He graduated from the Budapest Royal Academy of Fine Arts (1943-1948) and worked with his instructor and Hungarian master Szõnyi István, for five years, in the master's studio. During off days he would set out and paint or draw.

On this day in 1952, Dad was 30 years old. He set up his easel to create an oil painting near a local lake. ❤️
