Description
A stunning floral painting with large light-pink amaryllis blossoms that takes center stage.
The long delicate petals connect to the huge flowers and stand against a brushed dark blue background.
I know this particular specimen came directly from the indoor garden that Mom tended to with such care and dedication. And it's wonderful to know that Dad captured the essence of this living, breathing plant, preserving its natural beauty without a need to cut or alter it in any way.
As I stand before this work, I'm reminded of the deep connection my father shared with the natural world, and the way he was able to translate that connection into his art.
On this day in 1989, Dad looked at this amaryllis flower and was inspired by its beauty and especially that it was Mom's. ❤️
